Avoiding the Deep Freeze

Dashed around Sunday, repotting all of the plants that needed to come indoors.  Happily, neighbors took several of the ferns in that were too big for my crowded house.

But still need to find spaces for these ivies...

In Celebration of 100 Years

Kathryn Dodson Benson is celebrating her 100th birthday this month.  Her mother's name was Dena Dodson and her father's name was John Dodson.  Here they are pictured as they were in 1927, 1934 and 1929.

Hibiscus

Lake Harriet Ice Skating

Men have cleared skating paths all over Lake Harriet and the ice is perfect.  In the northeast corner of the lake someone has created a crystal cathedral, which they light with candles each night.  Walkers and bikers can see it from the shore, but skaters can get a close up view.
